Come to a workshop - it's a start!
(more info below)
Every workshop is different, depending on the experiences and input of the participants. In the workshops we look at the topics below.
How to do self-care without feeling guilty.
Self-care. What does it mean to you? Self-care is not selfish and we don't have to feel guilty if we make time for it.
In the workshop we will find easy ways to raise our self-care on a daily, sustainable basis.

How to say No and mean it & How to say YES and do it.
At times, we would like to say NO to a request, but we say YES instead. Or we say YES, but don't follow up on it. In the workshop we look at our personal reasons for saying YES and NO, and find ways on how to feel comfortable with either.
Easy ways to live sustainably
Hands up, who wants to hear another lecture about Sustainability?! No lecture here, but easy, doable ways of doing our individual part, connected to a huge amount of self-care. We'll look at what we are doing already, what's difficult and why, and what we can learn from others. Blaming and shaming not allowed!
- Online workshops take place on Zoom
- LIVE workshops take place at ToiMinnanTaika in Joensuu.
I am currently planning new workshops and courses. If you want me to run a workshop at a time that suits you best, let me know.
For 25 years I have been involved with self-care, which is of course a holistic issue for me. My body, my mind and my spirit want to be cared for so that I can feel comfortable with myself.
This also includes knowing my own limits. On a purely physical level, that means sleeping when I'm tired and eating when I'm hungry (what I eat is another topic in itself). |
But what about the mind and the spirit? For me, it means being able to say NO to people and situations that are not good for me. But also to say YES to life's challenges. I realise and accept that there are more things in life that I have no control over and I get many opportunities to practice humility, not to overestimate myself but, very importantly, not to underestimate myself either.
|
Taking care of myself also means that I have the opportunity to decide how I approach life. Over the years I have learned that I always have a choice. I don't feel at the mercy of anything and I don't need to be afraid. Of course I experience fear, but I don't have to let it rule me, because as we all know, fear is a bad advisor.
|
It was only as an adult that I learned not to let fear rule me. I couldn't do it alone, and no one has to go through change alone.
Change, both internal and external, often triggers fear at first. My experience is that the fear subsides when I talk about it and face it. I am happy to pass on what I have learned and you don't have to go through change alone.
Problems are there to be solved. Fears are there to be overcome. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Self-care & Sustainability
Self-care and sustainability are connected. If we don't start living more sustainably, no amount of self-care will do us any good. But where does self-care start and sustainability end? In the workshops, all participants get the opportunity to find their own answers.
Without a moralising finger, but with a lot of fun and many tips and ideas.
